Project Information

The Garrett County Maryland Affordable Housing Land Trust is organized exclusively for charitable purposes and pursuant to Maryland Real Property Code §14-505, including for the purpose to operate an affordable housing land trust that will:

(i) contribute to the sustainability and viability of the Garrett County economy by providing stewardship of an increasing inventory of perpetually-affordable dwelling units to a broad range of Garrett County citizens;

(ii) further the economic stability of the Garrett County community by acting as stewards of unimproved land upon which perpetually-affordable dwelling units are developed by community partners;

(iii) provide an inventory of ownership units that will remain permanently affordable in order to create a strong community with a healthy economy for generations to come.
